Rev. Susan Kerr
Minister
Susan loves serving God at Burlington East. Before becoming minister here, Susan was a French Immersion educator for the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board and served at Knox Waterdown, Chalmers, St. Paul’s, MacNab, University (Jane and Finch) and Malvern congregations. As a mom, theatre director, musician and caregiver, she explores faith and ministry through many different lenses, always curious as to how God is calling God’s people to ‘live out loud’ in faith and share Christ’s incredible love in justice, grace, and day-to-day living. She has served on national committees for the Presbyterian Church in Canada, including leading worship and workshops at Uplift and Canada Youth events, and can frequently be seen with a coffee in hand.
Halyna (Mychalczuk) Dickison
Music Director
Halyna feels blessed to say that music and faith in God have been a constant throughout her life. She received her B.Mus. in music education from the University of Toronto. Some of the wonderful myriad of music experiences she has enjoyed include teaching piano and theory, accompanying many soloists, ensembles, and choirs (here and with trips to Western Europe, Ukraine, and the U.S.), and singing in the Ukrainian church choir. She is grateful and excited to be working with BEPC’s choir, introducing new hymns, songs, and anthems to the congregation, all in prayer and praise to God.

Office Administrator
Bob Dickison
Clerk of Session
In the mid 1990s, Bob’s faith and belief led him to become more active in church life. Since that time, he has fulfilled many roles within the church, including as Clerk of Session since 2013. He continues to enjoy not only the work but also the camaraderie that comes with being so involved. He has 30–plus years business background in the Information Technology industry. He strives to always follow Luke 6:31 – ‘Do to others as you would have them do to you’.
Ron Dekker
Treasurer
Ron grew up in a Presbyterian home, attending church regularly on Sunday mornings and participating in a youth choir and youth groups. He left the church, feeling forsaken at being unable to have children naturally, but returned after prayer led him and his late spouse to adopt their son from Russia. Soon afterwards he felt the call to assist in leading BEPC into the future by becoming an elder and treasurer.
