A social group of about 25 who enjoy getting together for lunch monthly from September through June. We are a great support for each other and the congregation as we pull together to cater funerals and other functions within the church.
Each monthly meeting consists of a fabulous sandwich lunch and a short devotional followed by a business meeting with a few laughs along the way.
The major annual fundraising event is the Holly Berry Christmas bazaar, bake sale and tea room in November. This is well supported by the congregation and the community at large. December brings a potluck lunch, in which all women in the congregation are invited to join. During lent, the WMS helps to provide soup-and-bun lunches with help from others in the congregation. The year wraps up in June with another potluck lunch.
We have supported and helped many groups within the church by purchasing items such as a defibrillator, sound system for the sanctuary, a laptop computer, tables and chairs and furnishings for meeting rooms.
