The centre of the Presbyterian faith is the Living God, our heavenly father, in whom we live and move and have our being. The church is Evangelical, Catholic and Reformed. In the New Testament, the word evangel means good news, the same as gospel. The good news, of course, is about God’s love for us as shown through Jesus’ life, teachings, death and resurrection.
